There are many reasons why people seek counseling and psychotherapy. At times each of us in our lives may be confronted with obstacles which can feel overwhelming. Often we look outside ourselves for answers or we tend to feel inadequate. We continue with self defeating thoughts and behaviors which increase our stress and feelings of being stuck. We want to enjoy life more but we are unable.

Receiving help is not a sign of weakness; but rather a sign of strength. It is a proactive approach to personal growth. We all have areas where we can improve and that reaching out for assistance is a powerful step towards skill enhancement and self-discovery. Counseling can often provide relief from both immediate and long standing challenges that are a barrier to living a happier and more fulfilling life.

 My Approach

This website is designed to give you some general information about my practice and who I am. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my specialty is helping people to resolve troubling issues that they face in their lives. Whether it's relationships, parenting, or employment issues, you may feel stressed around these aspects of your life. I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression and/or difficulty adjusting to  certain life changes. I help clients recognize their own strengths and best qualities. You are the expert in your own life and my role is to help you discover your personal power so you may skillfully manage situations, and live life to the fullest. 

My therapy orientation is supportive and humanistic, drawing  from cognitive behavioral, solution focused and strength based theory. The therapy sessions are interactive. My goal is to empower you so you can make changes in your life and achieve happiness, personal growth and positive change.
